“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” – Proverbs 4:23
- Understanding the Language of Spirits
Many religious people talk a lot, yet forget that God does not respond to words. He responds to thoughts. To God, what is thought is as good as done. When God looks into our hearts, He sees what we have formed by our thoughts, and to Him, that is reality. This is why the Psalmist prayed, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,…” (Psalm 19:14). In the realm of the Spirit, what is heard are intents, desires, and images. Your intents, desires, and the images formed in your heart are your most authentic communication.
- The Mind as a Spiritual Instrument
You need to understand the power of your mind. Understand that you are changing things, even when you may not be so aware. That is why our theme verse says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Protect what inspires your thoughts. Our Lord Jesus also warned, “Take heed what ye hear…” (Mark 4:24). Use your mind to continually frame the picture of what God has spoken about you. Your mind is a spiritual instrument that determines your spiritual altitude.
•…………•
“Your mind is the gateway to the supernatural; what you frame in thought, you establish in reality.”

- The Authority of Intent and Environment
Nothing is forced in the spirit realm; even blessings require access. A blessing can be spoken towards you, yet your environment rejects the blessing. Our Lord Jesus said, “And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again” (Luke 10:5-6). The “son of peace” refers to the spiritual environment over a person—the condition of his convictions and mind. Your mental disposition controls access in the spirit. Intent can send spirits away, but intent can also call spirits forth.
- Taking Responsibility for Spiritual Altitude
When we learn to use our hearts intentionally like this, we can bring lots of positive changes in a single day. People in your life can prosper through you without even knowing it, simply because your heart continually releases goodwill. Don’t stop at prayer; constantly meditate and release blessings in the spiritual realm through your thoughts, desires, and intents. Be sensitive and intentional about thinking good thoughts as instructed by the Word. Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Keep God’s Word in your mind to ensure you always ascend. Hallelujah!
| CONFESSION | I recognize that my mind is a powerful spiritual instrument. I declare that my heart is guarded with all diligence, and my thoughts are aligned with the Word of God. I refuse to entertain thoughts of fear, lack, or defeat. My mind is fixed on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report. I am a son of peace, and my spiritual environment is a fertile ground for the blessings of God. I ascend to higher altitudes in the spirit as I set my affections on things above. Amen.
