— By Daniel Nyah It is often said that the problem of Africa is poor leadership. This is not an exaggeration—our people have borne the pain, sorrow, and setbacks caused by failed leadership. The cry for a lasting solution has echoed for decades across the continent. The birth pangs are already here, signaling that the solution is near. However, identifying a problem is not enough; finding and embracing the solution is what brings change. In fact, many times, people suffer more from their inability to recognize solutions than from the absence of solutions themselves. If Africa’s greatest problem is poor leadership, then our greatest quest must be to develop leaders who can reverse the curse—leaders who inspire transformation and create systems that work for the good of the people. This is where the book, “The Godly Leader,” comes in. It is written as an answer to Africa’s long-standing quest for a “leadership messiah.” The message is simple yet powerful: the change Africa desperately needs will not come only from replacing leaders, but from transforming the very way we understand and practice leadership. In the words of John C. Maxwell, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.” If that is true, then the prosperity of our families, communities, and nations depends on the kind of leadership we embrace. The Godly Leader shows readers: …and much more. This book is far from mere theory—it is a practical guide that can reshape your personal and corporate leadership. It is especially recommended for Africa’s younger generation, who carry the responsibility of tomorrow’s leadership. If you desire personal growth, stronger influence, or a vision of leadership that can save our continent from decline, The Godly Leader is for you. RECORDS STRAIGHT: I LOVE CAMEROON 🇨🇲
I am 40 years of biological age as of August 2025. I was raised by sacrificial parents who grew up under the two presidents of this nation. My father does not have a passport and has never left this nation in 70 years. I received Christ in 2003 and have now been in the faith for 22 years. Since then, I have endeavored to love and serve the Lord and my nation faithfully. I have declined several promising opportunities to travel out of Cameroon—before becoming a clergy and as a clergy. I can move to any country of my choice today if I so desire. Some of us aren’t here because we cannot leave but because we are constrained by the sovereign Lord to be here and because we chose to obey. In 2009, I resigned from my expatriate job to return back home to Cameroon. My decision shocked my parents, my boss, my colleagues, and my friends. I laid down all my professional qualifications and secular career to dedicate myself more fully to the work of the ministry—first, in Cameroon. I have no regrets. I am passionate about godly leadership and good governance. For the past 11 years, our local church has prayed almost weekly for the leaders of our nation and for good governance. I authored the book “The Godly Leader,” which is gaining influence both in the Church and among state officials, with the hope that our nation becomes better. I have held countless seminars on leadership, written hundreds of articles, and taught numerous messages that directly or indirectly address the subject of good governance. In the months leading up to the presidential elections, alongside other prayer sessions for the nation, I have led three separate 7-day prayer sessions for Cameroon. I am actively involved—both directly and indirectly—in nation-building efforts at various levels. A significant portion of my finances has been dedicated to the cause of seeing Cameroon rise from every form of decay, and for her citizens to enjoy their due right to health, peace, joy, and prosperity. I am a bona fide citizen of this nation whose navel is buried within its soil. These small sacrifices are proof of my love for this land and we the people. I am not a stranger here—I have lived on this soil for 39 years, spent one year in India, and only a few weeks each in Nigeria and Gabon. This is my country, and I love it. Now that the record is set straight, it is important that some of you understand where some of us speak from. I carry a burden as you do. I have been subjected to the same economic, social, and political conditions as my fellow citizens. Therefore, I share a fair judgment of the circumstances we face. I do not speak as one detached from the daily realities of our people but as one who goes through it with you all daily and for 40 years. As one who has walked a little with the Lord and takes interest in history, I am somewhat positioned to speak and guide with positive ideas that can improve our perspective and help our nation advance. I stand in respect of the sacrifices, blood, and sweat of fellow citizens—fathers, mothers, and patriarchs—some of whom laid down their lives in a dignified manner so that we may come this far. Let us not destroy their labor; the baton is in our hands. Do not choose violence, and avoid rhetoric that provokes violence. In an attempt to fix a thing, do not worsen it. Don’t only ask, “How do I fix this nation?” Also ask, “What must I avoid saying or doing that could worsen it?” To get this right, let us separate our goodwill from sentiments born of discontentment and disappointments. Listen to the caution of history and give attention to the voice of wisdom. When we still our emotions, we can easily receive the temperament and wisdom needed to advance this nation. Sometimes, your greatest temptation to mess things up shows up when your breakthrough is nearest. Our increasing anger is because salvation is near. But as a woman in travail, a wrong push can destroy both the child and the mother. We must corporate with the midwife, calmly. I have given you my CV as a citizen so you can trust that I know what I am talking about. I am not just ranting. There are vital considerations and consequences on the table that we must treat with caution. Let this counsel of Jesus Christ our Lord teach us that desires and competence are both necessary for victory—not mere zeal or passion alone. Luke 14:31 (NLT) – “Or what king would ever dream of going to war without first sitting down with his counselors and discussing whether his army of ten thousand is strong enough to defeat the twenty thousand soldiers who are marching against him?”Luke 14:32 (AMP) – “And if he cannot [do so], while the other king is still a great way off, he sends an envoy and asks for terms of peace.” It takes just a word or an opinion to start a war—set up fire—in people’s hearts which cannot be easily quenched. James 3:5 (MSG) — “A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything–or destroy it! It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire” (MSB) This is why we are admonished as God’s children to refrain from words that provoke anger, and rather speak words that minister grace and lead people in the path of true peace and prosperity, which must not necessarily be preceded by war or conflicts. Let’s be peacemakers as it is expected of the children of God. Matthew 5:9 (MSG)— “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family” Matthew 5:9 (NLT)— “God
FIVE FUNDAMENTAL THINGS TO BE CONSCIOUS OF AS A CHRISTIAN DAILY
There are five things you must be conscious of at all times as a Christian. They don’t change; they define what kind of Christian you are at all times. 1) The Gospel and Your Identity Through the Gospel, you see God as your Father and yourself as His son. This awareness stabilizes you—you are never shaken by circumstances, because as He is, so are you in this world. You will never rise above your identity and fellowship with God the Father. Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ ushers one into this sanctified identity, full of grace and truth. Always evaluate your circumstances in Christ and keep your mind rooted in Him. Trust what the Gospel of Jesus Christ has revealed about you in Christ, and trust that same Gospel to work mightily in saving others. Sit firmly in the gospel and preach it zealously to save others and give them a royal identity as yourself. 2) The Holy Spirit Within You You are not empty—you carry the very presence of God. This consciousness is ultimate because it determines how enriched your life will ever be. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is the very presence of God. He activates the reality of your fellowship and divine participation in the Godhead. He is responsible for equipping you with all the riches of Christ for manifestation as a son of God. To despise the Holy Spirit is to be a cloud without rain—a Christian without proofs. Carnality is often the result of limited or no fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Embrace the ministry of the Holy Spirit by holding the consciousness of His presence, opening your mind to His conversations, giving yourself to prayer in tongues, and walking by faith. 3) The Kingdom of God and Your Purpose Your delight reveals how meaningful your life can ever become. Being a Kingdom child means investing all you are and all you have—by the Spirit—to fulfill God’s plans for your life. His Kingdom and His righteousness are His ultimate priority and the advantage of His children. The moment you settle in your heart that you will live for nothing else but to glorify God by pursuing and establishing His righteousness through all you do and everywhere you go, you’ve hit the jackpot of extravagant grace and Kingdom prosperity. Everything you will ever need is in God’s Kingdom, and it is revealed to you by seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness. Give yourself to a Kingdom first lifestyle; do everything with the absolute motive to glorify God and increase His fame; seek to bring all things under the authority of God and to establish His right ways and influence everywhere. Structure your life, family, business, and career after the purpose of God’s Kingdom. Then watch the miracle of a sufficient and fulfilling life. 4) The Wisdom of God There is the Kingdom way of pursuing anything. Value the wisdom of God—it will save you from unnecessary stress and failures, even in pursuing the right things. Make up your mind not to do things the world’s way but according to God’s wisdom. You can have a good identity and delight in God’s Kingdom and righteousness, yet still fail if you don’t go about it God’s way. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. Wisdom commands results. It is wisdom that brings God’s plans to fulfillment in a way that truly glorifies Him. Go for wisdom and settle it in your heart that wisdom makes anything work. To do this, settle it in you that the Word of God is the wisdom of God. So, study and apply the Word of God in your life and in everything you do. Always ask, “Is this the Lord’s way, my way, or the world’s way”. The moment it is settled that it is the Lord’s way, that’s wisdom at work. Wisdom never fails. Wisdom makes things work. Applying the Word of God in your dealings makes you wise and rich. Knowing and not applying makes you wise and poor. Poor = Deficient of the results of your wisdom. Rich = Having the results that reflect your wisdom. 5) The Ministry of Angels Be conscious of the ministry of angels working on your behalf. This is important because it shows how well accompanied and assisted you are. Every time you think about the Kingdom of God and God’s righteousness, the anointing allocated to your purpose is stirred. Everything about you—spirit, soul, and body—responds to that Kingdom intent within you. When your mind is set on the Kingdom, all aspects of your being align with that anointing—inspirations, ideas, and grace begins to flow. You activate the law of resonance by the desires in you. This is important because it affects how angels work in your favour. They are assigned to promote the intents of the Lord active in you and to assist you in fulfilling the Father’s purpose for your life. Embracing this consciousness is vital because consciousness is a language of communication on its own. Misusing your mind fights against the anointing, frustrates the Holy Spirit, and resists the ministry of angels. Remind yourself daily of being greatly assisted and occupy your heart with God’s desires—delight yourself in the Lord. This is one of the greatest secrets of life. These five things should be remembered daily. I can assure you, if you are convinced of these five things daily, you’ll live glorious, victorious, and fulfilling life, excelling in God’s plans and purposes daily. Try this. Blessings. — Pastor Daniel Nyah ~ TheChristianLife
WHEN GOD CORRECTS YOU BACKWARDS
Good children don’t abandon their home just because their parents are “hard.” Many only realize too late how much love was hidden in that so-called hardness. A vagabond spirit despises the discipline of love. Learn early in life the difference between wicked parents and hard parents. While you are complaining about a strict parent, some orphans desperately wish they had one. You will never truly find “a home” if you walk away from your parents simply because they are hard. When God commanded children to obey their parents, He foresaw that a time would come when we would feel as though we knew better. That is why He attached the promise of wellness and long life—to warn us of what we risk losing through such unreasonable and ungodly decisions against our parents. Not every mercy of God moves us forward; sometimes, His mercy takes us back. God is a God of order. If you leave people for the wrong reasons, you can not bribe Him with sacrifice. He values obedience above all. When the angel met Hagar in the desert, after giving her water to survive, the instruction was clear: “Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands” (Genesis 16:9). Just because God shows you mercy in your wilderness does not mean He overlooks rebellion or stubbornness. Sometimes, His way forward is for you to go back and submit. Yes, everyone has the right to walk away from people. But don’t leave the right people for the wrong reasons, for you may never find God’s way on your own path. Pride often stops people from returning—even after an encounter with God. Many mistake His provision in the wilderness as His approval of their disobedience. But after drinking the water, listen for the next instruction: “Go back and submit.” “Go back and apologize.” These are often the words we resist, yet they are the doorway to grace. May the Lord give us humble hearts. To the humble, God gives more grace. He does not violate this principle: “Pride goes before destruction.” If this word speaks to you, know that the Spirit is addressing you. It may not even be about your parents. It could apply to any relationship where rebellion, stubbornness, pride, or disobedience has taken root. 👉🏾GO BACK AND APOLOGIZE.👉🏾 GO BACK AND SUBMIT YOURSELF. It is not just the parents who matter in the making of a good child. Children also decide what kind of child they’ll want to be towards their parents. Wasn’t God a good enough “parent” to Adam and Eve? Think. Humility never diminishes anyone—pride does. Pride can make things appear well on the surface, but it secretly sets the stage for destruction. So when you hear God’s voice, do not harden your heart. Choose humility while you still can. — Pastor Daniel Nyah ~ TheChristianLife
